Stopped by a few weeks ago as my folks lived in the village many years ago. Barkeep went out of his way to be kind and generous to my father, made for a really nice memory. Great pint too. Many thanks.
A great place to have food and drink. The food was cooked excellent and served at the right temperature with great service. The staffs were polite and knowledgeable.
I believe it’s a dog friendly pub with super ambience and free parking right in front. The barman served the Guinness the way it should be and we thought it tasted as if we were having a pint of Guinness in Dublin!
The pub interior could do with refurbishment and a coat of paint and so could the male toilets. But these things perhaps don’t matter as quality of food, drinks and service are the best!
Terrific "proper" pub on a village green..Historic well appointed pub. Friendly service and a great traditional home cooked Sunday Lunch. Great value too.
Came here for dinner after visiting the Christmas Lights at West Green House. First time visiting and we were very impressed with the service and quality of food. The menu had great variety and the homemade steak and kidney pie was very tasty! I highly recommend the homemade pie (changes every few days) and the king prawn with chorizo too.
Now Taken Over with New Owners Daren and Michelle and what Lovely Welcoming owners they are. What a Great Pub! Great Selection of Beers, Ales and Spirits. A lovely Chilled out atmosphere overlooking the Cricket green. Amazing Staff, Amazing Pub and Amazing Beer!
