I came here on a Bank Holiday Monday at lunchtime and was really worried about how long it would take to get served. I'm in the end. I was really impressed. It took about 10 minutes to get through the que, and there was still plenty of food left.
There's a nice range of items from cakes, pastys, and sandwiches. There's loads of seating and the whole cafe was clean and well presented.
They sell the same sausage roll and cauliflower pasty that’s on most nt menus now but they were served without salad and they were lukewarm as if they had been microwaved. The same items were purchased at Hardwick Hall last week and were served with a nice salad and were well cooked. Hot dog was tasty but £1 for a very small amount of cold onions felt steep.
