We went Friday tea time, it was quite busy in the pub, dog friendly everywhere except the restaurant part. Decided to try something different from the menu , I had the rag pudding, fries and mushy peas, with a separate jug of gravy, Diana had the chicken curry half fries half rice , it comes with nan bread,cut into 4 quarters, and side salad, massive portions, but really tasty curry with a kick, this was from the specials board, with a veggie option.
Great prices, quick service, fantastic food, recommend booking on Sundays it gets really busy, the best roast dinner in Rochdale
Had a lovely meal today . Roast beef in large Yorkshire pud , parsnips Roasties mash and seasonal veg . Partner had rag pudding and homemade chips and daughter had veggie burger and homemade chips. Food was hot well presented and tasty. Staff friendly and welcoming . Will definitely go again.
I eat here quite regularly especially on a Sunday. It’s the only place in Rochdale which does a great selection of meats and you get a great selection of veg. Everything is always piping hot and you also get an extra boat of gravy!
I would def recommend for the best value for money. Booked again this week !
Large portion sizes. Prompt service with a smile. We had the lamb shank & homemade cheese & onion pie. Both dishes were of a very good standard. It's easy to see why the pub was so busy.
Food was really good. I had the small roast dinner and it had very generous portions of meat. Too big pieces of beef two pieces of pork and a big pile of shredded chicken with veg potatoes mash and stuffing
