What a wonderful, friendly & inclusive place. If you are into card based games such as Dragon Ball or Yu-Gi-Oh, or tabletop role play games like DnD, this is a place for you!
Great friendly atmosphere, plenty to do, food/snacks, comfy seating and a pool table. What more can you want?!
Geek Retreat Dudley is a lovely welcoming cafe and hobby store with a wonderful community. The food is excellent and well made; I would recommend the Green Martian milkshake featuring scoops of chocolate mint ice-cream. It contains excellent facilities for staying a long time and plenty of space and entertainment for children of all ages to enjoy whilst parents can recline on the sofas in peace for a bit. I have brought my son here for over a year and a half and enjoyed every week visiting.
The staff are welcoming, friendly and happy to introduce children to different game systems with tutorial games and events.
My experience was great overall. I would highly recommended this venue! The best, fun and most enjoyable place in Dudley maybe the west midlands!
Milkshakes and food are spot on options for vegetarians and vegans (vegan shakes, vegan hot drinks, vegan burgers and even vegan hot dogs!)
I enjoyed my evening playing board games ranging from old classics to newer ones! Joining in and learning on trading card games. One of my personal favourite activities is the arcade machines they have here mortal Kombat and street fighter classics.
Raja and Ethan are the perfect new friendly owners, they have changed things up and made the experience fresh. They always look after me and my friends!
The manager/ owner, Ethan, is very friendly like all of the staff and it is very welcoming. They have awesome decor and a very big selection of products that all are a nice fit in the store.
Great coffee, great people.
Went in a couple times now and each time has been really nice. It’s great to go in, have a coffee and end up chatting to another customer or one of the passionate staff members about the games we both love and I plan on going to one of the many events they plan. The community they have seemed to build in a short time is brilliant and I love going in and seeing so many people sitting and playing games. Lovely shop and super friendly place.
