This is hands down one of the best pubs in the area. The warm and welcoming atmosphere is complemented by incredibly friendly staff and an attentive owner who truly cares about the experience. The Thai food is a standout - authentic, flavorful, and consistently excellent. Whether you’re in for a casual drink or a meal, this place never disappoints. Highly recommended!
Fantastic Thai food served in a cosy country pub setting. My favourite is the Pad Ped, which explodes with amazing flavours in your mouth. Add a pint or two of local Shere Drop...what more can you want?! Update December 2023 - we had a delicious birthday dinner at the Barley Mow tonight. Started with the spring rolls and satay chicken (the dips they come with are amazing), then my favourite chicken Pad Ped! If you enjoy Thai cuisine in a real pub, serving proper beer, give them a try.
First time visiting with friends . Everything excellent beer and fantastic Thai food in this great pub. Great friendly service in bar and restaurant. Highly recommend .
Only comment would be the very bright lighting in the restaurant part of the pub. Seemed to be no option to adjust lights. Will be asking to sit at table in the bar area on our next visit where the atmosphere (lighting ) is more to our (personal) liking .
This is a lovely pub with lots of space and warm fires to huddle around. They serve Thai food here and it was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was brilliant and staff were very friendly. Will definitely be returning.
