Came here for lunch today, and everything was delicious! If you’re in the area you absolutely need to come here to eat! I had the chicken katsu burger, and every bite was fantastic. We had the churros for dessert, and they were also super yummy!
The staff here are also exactly the right amount of attentive and very friendly!

We’ve just eaten a wonderful family lunch at Palmers Ale House & Kitchen. Food was outstanding and everything cooked from scratch, which was so tasty. We would highly recommend this well run restaurant. The staff team are so friendly and really know how to make you feel welcome. The Manager is very professional and really knows how to make sure everything is done properly. They even stock 0% beer, which went down very well. We would definitely recommend this fantastic restaurant and will return at earliest opportunity. Thank you Palmers team for making our meal such a fabulous experience.

Stayed in a single room. Lovely and clean and comfy bed.
Only bad thing was the skylight and no blackout blind. So too light early hours.
Good choice at breakfast and cooked fresh.

A lovely place to visit!! We were given a warm and friendly welcome when we arrived and the lovely lady behind the bar knew about all her beers and gins and gave a detailed description of everything they had on offer. We decided we would have lunch and the menu looked amazing setting on the Mediterranean Hake for my and my other half order a full rack of ribs…. Masses of food and we can eat!! And it was all fabulous and they boxed up what was left for us to take home. Fantastic service by the lovely lady and the lovely waitress (didn’t catch names properly but I think it was Sophie and Abbie. Thank you for a fab meal hope to come back again!! Would highly recommend!

Wow! What a wonderful pub Palmers Ale House is. My wife and I, plus our two small dogs visited for the first time and were made to feel so welcome.
We initially popped in for a quick after work beer but soon decided the menu looked too good to pass on.
We both chose the Haddock and chips, and it was some of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had.
The beer is outstanding, not the mainstream norm, a good choice of brews from small Independant brewers are on offer, and both keg and cask available and served to perfection. Doombar lovers, don’t be afraid, use Palmers as a point of education, beer with purpose, beer with flavour, and reasonably priced.
The staff are great, they couldn’t have been friendlier, as busy as they were they still made time to chat, a rare talent these days sadly.
We’ll absolutely visit again, and would recommend anyone else to. If you like great food, great beer and great surroundings you’ll be right at home
