We chose this pub to meet some old friends for lunch based on a number of positive online reviews. A lovely pub with a relaxed environment and great service from Sarah.. a good menu choice - the food was very good, well priced and served in good time. There was no rush on our meal time enabling us to catch up and spend time with our friends. Will definitely look to use this pub again.
Thank you for such a lovely Valentine’s dinner. The food was amazing. Started with a glass of champagne which is always nice, a selection of warm breads and salmon starter, belly pork was to die for and Stilton with fruit cake. Lovely restaurant with really friendly staff especially Farren. We will definitely be back. Excellent, thank you.
An excellent Sunday lunch for four. Good location with an attractive dining area. Great service, superb food, beef just how we like it, with an amazing selection of vegetables and fab roast potatoes. Even the chef popped out to say hello. Plus all good value!
We had passed this restaurant so many times in the past year visiting between Oxford and Basingstoke. Each time we said we must make a plan to go in. On the day we finally moved back to Basingstoke we finally stopped. And boy am I glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious. We chose items off the bar snacks and sharers menu. Good portions. The ladies serving us were helpful. The owner popped past to see how things were and we had a good chat. It’s wonderful to find a restaurant that has a personal touch. The big chains don’t give you this experience because they’re just pumping numbers through.
There is also an outside area to eat.
I highly recommend a stop here. We certainly will go back.
