Stayed overnight, fabulous room, great hosts. Breakfast was lovely too, good portion sizes and variety.
Quick pint at opening time. Barmaid friendly and helpful
A real chill out pub in olde world gorgeous architecture (low ceilings, timber beams etc). Good decent stock of beers, lagers, wines etc. Pizza parlour has long gone but now replaced with pan-Asian food and really good, tasty food and simply but nicely presented. Give it a go, you’ll enjoy it.
STOP PRESS! Sadly Shinsen have now moved on.Tthey should have received far more interest than they did. They also brought energy to the Bear. If you don’t support new independent ventures you risk losing them.
