Booked a table here as we were staying in a little cottage in Sheldon, from the moment we stepped in every member of staff was so welcoming and friendly, we ordered the prawn pil pil and olives followed by the pie and fish and chips, the prawns and olives were some of the best we have ever tasted and the mains were absolutely delicious, the beef in the pie literally melted in the mouth, absolutely amazing service, will definitely be back next time we come to visit, can’t recommend enough would give more than five stars if we could 🤩
We stopped off here on a Tuesday evening after a circular walk. We hadn't booked and it was busy but the staff found us a table. We both had drinks and the Beef and Unicorn pie which was very tasty and very filling. Excellent value for money. Other food menu items looked really good and we would definitely return. Service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. The pub had outdoor seating at the front and beer garden at the rear. Limited parking spaces but can park on streets nearby.
Incredible food, and our servers were brilliant. Lovely cosy pub, but definitely book a table in advance! Highly recommend the slow cooked beef brisket, and don't miss the gigantic ginger pudding for dessert.
Stopping by with no reservations with a pram I popped in to make sure we could get a table and the staff were welcoming and accommodating allowing us to choose the table right for us, we chose the snug as to not disturb other customers. We were not forgotten about with orders taken, drinks arrived and food ordered taken and brought out within a short time. The food itself was tasty and a good portion size at a reasonable price.
Parking is free outside but is limited but we had no problem arriving at 6pm
