Absolutely Brilliant work from these guys. Thought we'd do an in depth review of their work as really warranted it.

We'd been having issues with our central heating and boiler 'kettling" since early December with the rads getting less and less hot as well as limited hot water. To the extent we had virtually no heating downstairs and low/medium heat upstairs.Meaning we were reliant on a oil radiator in the lounge and blower heaters. Expensive and not ideal. We have 14 rads and maybe 6 got warm. Spoken to a number of plumbers previously and a Powerflush had been recommended. However, no one seemed to want to commit to doing the work as the house had also microbore pipework. I filled in the PlumJax website enquiry and Jacques called later on that day. After explaining the issues and chatting he recommended a chemical treatment and Powerflush. Jacques was then able to quote and we decided to go ahead and book PlumbJax in for the work. We were told we may also need new pump as well so the quote was subject to some potential additional costs. On the day we had a Jacques and Tyrone both working at the house. Both very pleasant and courteous and got to work draining the system to add their industrial magnetic filter, before refilling the system and putting the flush in. Unfortunately our pump was knackered so required replacement and a few alterations to the system to get it refilled and the air out. Once refilled and sorted we watched all the black water and sludge containing metal bits circulate into the metal filter and stay there. Tyrone then went round and "vibrated" all the radiators to get the sludge to move around the system and into the filter. This took quite a long time so plenty of time for tea, coffee and bacon sandwiches! The system was then drained and refilled, our own filter was fitted then the system above the boiler, then fully balanced and inhibitor put in. The difference is like Night and Day. The house is now as hot as we want it, the hot water is amazing and the boiler is quiet!

So to sum up, yes, things came in a little bit more expensive but we were warned this might be the case, the original pump was the same age as the system, so from 1999 and its time was up and some additional reworking of the pipes was required but all very reasonably priced. We would 100% recommend and will do to friends and family as finding a reliable, trustworthy plumber is like Mission Impossible. So, if you've got this far and still in doubt, don't be.
