Excellent on every level. Food was amazing, the service was fun but unobtrusive and the building is amazing and seems much older than 1890 when it was (apparently built). The Beef Wellington is amazing and my whole group all enjoyed their meals. The price is according to the quality.
We went for dinner and were very impressed with the experience.
The restaurant itself is somewhat dated, but that’s not a criticism, it’s like walking back in time and the level of service reflects that.
The waiters and all staff we dealt with were very kind and entertaining.
The food, well, the food was sublime! I would recommend to anyone and we will be returning in a few weeks to try some other items on the menu!
Fresh bread and butter on arrival was a nice touch, especially because the bread rolls were shaped like tiny loafs which was a nice touch!
First time visiting after wanting to for years! Really enjoyed our meal. Great, friendly service and food. Really liked the extensive menu and especially the dessert trolley! Looking forward to returning.
We found this place thanks to Google map reviews so I am returning the favour by adding a review. As others have said, the decor is dated but the food is delicious and the service quality is top notch. I loved the dessert trolley. Our waiter Mark was excellent. I will definitely be returning and will bring friends and family.
My partner and I had such a wonderful experience. The food was incredible, extremely accommodating if you need to change something from your choice of food. Service was 10/10 and the waiters have a great sense of humour! Perfect, quaint little spot! We will be returning :)
