Took just over 40 minutes for the food to arrive after ordering, no warning of a long wait or acknowledgment that it has been a long time.

However, the food was amazing (and was worth the wait!)

My steak burger was amazing!
Clearly homemade but cooked perfectly with a lovely flavour and texture. Good size, soft and juicy inside, and smothered in melty cheese. The beef brisket on top was also really flavoursome and went perfectly with the burger meat. The bun was also really soft and fresh and didn't fall apart at all.

My wife had the royal calzone which was also amazing!
Some of the next pizza dough I've ever tasted.
Filled with good quality 'toppings' and served with a jug of lovely tomato sauce (although it was a bit unexpectedly spicy)

We will definitely be back next time we're in the area, and I highly recommend the food here.
(Hopefully the long wait for the food was a one off, but it was still worth the wait!)

Visited for the first time this evening to celebrate my parents birthdays & we will certainly be back. The food was delicious with massive portions & the staff were so lovely and accommodating! An absolute little gem of a place :)
(Also noticed lots of gluten free items on the menu, I have a friend with a serious gluten allergy so it was lovely to see a wide variety of food they could eat, will deffo bring them in the future!!)

Lovely little pub, the surrounding area isn’t exactly the nicest but the food in this place makes up for it! So nice to have a non chain pub Sunday roast so close by. Definitely worth travelling for too, massive portions and everything was cooked perfectly and piping hot.

Always great, never had a bad meal or bad experience, always clean, staff always friendly. Food always delicious. We go at least once a month. Would recommend it. Good value for top food. 👏
