A quality pub, incredible value for money, the food exceeded expectations, by a long way. Superb.
A traditional pub on the outskirts of Mirfield next to the river. A busy place when we visited Friday afternoon, but there was a big football match on the TV. We ate in thd separate dining room and had fish and chips which was one of the best I've had. A large fish, tasty well cooked chips and mushy or garden peas. Well worth £13 50.
Friendly, helpful staff, quick service. I'd definitely go again next time I'm passing.
Lovely food. Well cooked not too dry and very tasty. Good choice on the menu. Great service and nice dining area. I would recommend. Much better than the usual pub food. I had chicken breast with Dauphinoise potatoes.
Had several meals here whilst staying at a nearby hotel, tried many things on the menu and the food was really good. The steak here is highly recommended. Great service too. And if you want to work up an appetite this pub is the welcome final destination of a fantastic walk from Cooper bridge down the river and canal network via Battyeford island.
Been here a few times and always been pretty good. The last 2 visits have been fantastic though. Food quality is top notch and lots of choice on the menu. Service is great and very tolerant of our happy but not so relaxed 2 year old, which is always massively appreciated. Keep up the good work.
