Sonny's Street Food

13 a/b, 13 Swan St, Loughborough LE11 5BJ, UK | Thai Restaurant
P: 01509 231160

Rating: 4.6 (397) Price Level:

The food here was fantastic. The portion sizes were so generous and everything was full of flavour. The vegetable spring rolls and prawn tempuras were perfectly crisp and light. The ingredients were clearly fresh and well prepared, we thoroughly enjoyed both starters. For the main course we selected pad Thai and red curry, both were delicious and despite the mammoth portions we couldn’t help but to clear our plates! The Pad Thai came with a small pot of spices which really elevated the dish, it brought a warming heat and welcomed further layers of flavour. Our only complaint would be the service, we were poorly attended to. After some minutes of sitting at our empty table I had to collect our own menus and request that our order be taken. Furthermore, our starter dishes were not cleared until the main courses were being served. The servers never once checked on us during the meal which was rather disappointing. Overall, we would certainly come here again. There was no denying the food was gorgeous, hopefully next time the service will live up to the quality of the dishes.

Absolute hidden gem! It’s so humble on the outside, but the food and the flavours are so good! It was so hard to decide what to get, because there’s so many delicious options. We started with the Tom Yum (a personal fav that was the most flavourful I’ve ever had, not too spicy and with juicy chicken) and fried prawns. Noodles soups for main, both with generous portions, wonderful broth once again and packed full of toppings. The pink milk drink was delightful too, sweet and moreish - just wish we’d noticed the mango sticky rice on the specials board for dessert, what a treat that would’ve been and no doubt as delicious as the rest. The service was smiley and very kind, quick and charming. Very lovely indeed! Will very much be back!

Felt like I was back in Thailand. Everything was so good, freshly cooked, amazing quality. So so yummy. I started to lose faith in Loughborough having had a few disappointing meals out, but wows did this not disappoint. Everything was so tasty! It was such a struggle to choose from the menu as they had so many lovely options. I can’t wait to go back. The portions were great, the food was great. If you want Thai food, go here, don’t even consider somewhere else unless you’re planning a trip to Thailand. We had satay chicken, prawn cakes, ho fun noodle with seafood and chilli fish with rice. I’m getting hungry writing this, is it too soon to go back? Never too soon with this place.

Very efficient and superb staff; in and out in no time; very friendly receptionist and the dentist and hygienist were a very amicable duo, who made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Great to see lots of kids books and drawing equipment within the waiting room, which was generously stocked.

I recently had a wisdom tooth extraction, and I can’t express enough how grateful I am to Prem and his assistant Abi. After a difficult experience with a dentist years ago, I was extremely anxious about the procedure. However, from the moment I walked in, Prem and Abi made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Prem took the time to explain the process and address all my concerns, which really eased my anxiety. Throughout the extraction, he was gentle and attentive, ensuring I was okay every step of the way. Abi was equally supportive, providing reassurance and keeping me informed. Thanks to their compassionate care, what I anticipated to be a stressful experience turned out to be much easier than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Prem and his team to anyone looking for a dentist who truly prioritizes patient comfort and care. Thank you, Prem and Abi!

Excellent service by Prem, as always. My dad has Alzheimer's and Prem treats him with respect and dignity each time. Today, he went above and beyond by giving dad an impromptu hygienist treatment, to save us further appointments. Prem always goes the extra mile. Thank you. The reception team are fab too.

My 7 year old daughter had a scooter accident yesterday and caused some damage to her new front tooth, we saw Neil today ( first time as usual dentist on annual leave) and I was blown away at how amazing Neil was with both of us ( very anxious mum) I can not thank him enough, such an amazing dentist and character. Please pass this messge on to him. Much appreciated.

The Three Nuns in Loughborough is a charming and welcoming pub that offers a traditional British pub experience with a modern twist. Located just outside the town center, it has a cozy atmosphere that’s perfect for a casual meal, drinks with friends, or a relaxed evening out. The food menu is varied, featuring classic pub dishes such as fish and chips, burgers, and Sunday roasts, alongside more contemporary options like salads and vegan-friendly meals. The portions are generous, and the food is well-prepared, though not overly complicated. Their drinks menu is extensive, offering a good range of beers, ales, wines, and spirits, catering to different tastes. One of the highlights of The Three Nuns is its friendly and attentive staff, who go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The pub often has themed nights, live music, and quiz events, which adds to the lively, community feel. The outdoor seating area is also a nice touch, especially in warmer months, providing a pleasant spot to relax. While not a high-end dining experience, The Three Nuns offers good value for money and is a reliable spot for casual dining and socializing in Loughborough.

Saturday love music is always brilliant however it gets very busy and rightfully so. Staff are very friendly. Beer is reasonably priced for today's market yet because its so easy to strike a conversation with such a social enviroment it's easy to have a few more than you expected to.

A nice place for a good meal in what I often call the artistic (prettier) part of the town. Marple & 5 spice duck breast was simply delicious with a bouquet of aromatic spices. Lots of space inside, pleasing interior decorations and, most importantly, good service.

Everest Lounge

42 Church Gate, Loughborough LE11 1UE, UK | Restaurant
P: 01509 234216

Rating: 4.5 (121) Price Level:

Recently are here with friends. While we had a little difficulty ordering our food when it arrived it was delicious. There’s plenty of options so should be enough for everyone. The mains don’t come with rice which has to be ordered separately which bumped up the final bill a bit. Each of us had a starter, main and drink and it was over £40 each so on the dearer side for Loughborough. We would consider eating here again though.

We enjoyed it. Unlike other Indian restaurants, they serve curry in a bowl you eat from rather than a small dish plus main plate. Portions were good. Nepalese cuisine but they also do the usual Indian curries.

Try it, it’s good! After a couple of visits, this one of my favourites, located in the beautiful Outwoods, this place is very popular with walkers (with or without dogs), complete with prompt service, delicious food, good cakes. The place welcomes you with the bar on entry, the coffee is fresh, the food is tasty, friendly staff are on point, keeping the place clean and moving smoothly. This is a dog friendly cafe, so you can bring them inside. The floors are hardy so muddy boots are allowed in bad weather. Free self service water is available when required. For kids, there’s a small park just outside, and in summer the outdoor seating will keep you in the scenery. A lot of cafes could learn from this place.

Can't fault it at all. Coffee is strong and served at right temperature. Cakes are to die for and you probably would if you had too many of the delicious Cruffins (muffin/croissant). Go in when working on site for some reasonably priced refreshment and to meet all the lovely dogs. Friendly staff always attentive, free drinking water, plenty of seating inside and out and quite clean to say its in the woods and full of walkers, dogs and dirty boots. Great place to relax after a walk around the Outwoods. Last visit included a great breakfast of sourdough, scrambled egg and lime pickle avacado😋

Presentation of the dishes 10/10, they look so delicious. Unfortunately, Jajangmyeon, not to my taste, I felt like something was missing. It was too bland for me. The other dish was tasty. I will come back to try something else and give this place 2nd chance.

This is a Korean restaurant that is far more delicious than expected! Generally, the quality of Korean restaurants you eat in the UK is average. The taste is roughly the same But this restaurant, which is all run by Koreans, gave me a different experience. First of all, the decoration and environment of the restaurant make you feel that it is a high-end restaurant. The store staff will also play popular Korean music If you love Korean music, you will definitely enjoy it The food portion is quite sufficient! The beef rice doesn't look like it's made from ingredients bought at a supermarket. It feels like it was made with care The seafood soup is also very delicious It’s layered and incredibly spicy! It’s rare to find really spicy food in the UK Proves that the restaurant is serious about retaining the characteristics of Korean cuisine In addition, the price/performance ratio is also very high! When checking out, I found out that the entire order was 30% off! It turns out that except for BBQ, you can get 7 pieces now. We will definitely come back! (Next time I’ll try their pork belly BBQ)

The most incredible meal here tonight. Service was outstanding, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, they couldn't do enough to help. The food was 10/10 out of this world good, I especially recommend the beef short rib which was marinated in the most delicious sauce. We also had bibimbap rice which would make a stunning meal on its own but paired with the meat was perfect. The deserts were the perfect end to an incredible experience!! Thank you and will hopefully see you again soon.

Went on a Friday lunch time, have been wanting to go for a while, but so glad I did go! It was an incredible experience, being my first time having Korean BBQ I’’m glad this place was my first experience. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, I told them it was my first time trying this and they were very helpful telling me what each part was for and what to do. The food tasted incredible. We had the beef bulgogi and some salt and pepper chicken which was fried chicken and there was more than enough for both my girlfriend and I. The style of the restaurant was a mix of modern and authentic, was very clean too. A big thank you to May and Choi for the service we will definitely be coming back soon!

I had a fantastic experience with ac electronics, who repaired my old radio flawlessly. He was quick and responsive throughout the process, always keeping me updated and transparent about the costs involved. I truly appreciate his skill and dedication, especially in preserving electronics that are no longer available on the market. What impressed me the most was the guarantee he provided for his work, something you rarely see from larger companies. Thank you for the amazing job! I highly recommend it for anyone needing electronic repairs.

I used this nice gentleman to fix my PS4 not long ago as it was cutting out and extremely loud. It is old and probably on its last legs but needed some TLC. This guy is lovely to deal with and a very helpful genuine business. Always support your sole trader in the community if you can and this guy does a sterling job. He has extended the life of my poor old console till I can get an upgrade. He did a lot of work to it for a reasonable fee and used a lot of his time making sure he was happy with the job. It is still working and quiet and will serve me well between now and the end of its life. Highly recommend taking your electronics to AC in Loughborough.
