Very cosy cafe serving great Caffe Vergnano coffee. Had A couple of espresso’s, both perfectly served. Panino Parma nice and also the Sundae. Will definitely pop in again when about town.

Very friendly spot for a snack before touring Canterbury. To this American tourist it felt very welcoming and part of a local neighborhood instead of a too-busy, in-and-out, grab-and-go place you might find in town. Besides, we discovered Mr. Blobby!

Very welcoming atmosphere at the coffee shop clear repeated customers coming in and their orders were known by the employees. Very pleasant experience. All the paninis are made fresh to order. Paninis and cakes that I ordered were all of high quality and service was quick and friendly. Would highly recommend!

Great little cafe and/or bar (your choice) right on the river. In summer, watch moorhens building their nests as you sip your flat white and eat your carrot and courgette cake (SO good!). In winter,cosy up with a plate of steaming crumpets and a coffee or, later, red wine and watch the punts still passing, everyone well wrapped up. What a find. Food is fabulous - totally delicious. Never have I been accosted on the street before with such a positive outcome. Luke approached us in the street, but wasn't pushy, and asked if we wanted to try a river tour. We were interested and took him up on his offer and he gave us a voucher. We wandered down to the Mooring Cafe & Bar , got booked on and to our surprise had Luke as a tour guide. He was fantastic, knowledgeable and full of banter. He tried to engage with everyone on the boat, always making sure everyone enjoyed their experience. After the tour was done, we arrived back again at the Mooring bar to sample some of the delicious cocktails that were designed by Rosie (including the best cocktail I've ever had, The Hive mind). Verity served us and was fantastic, despite being new to the team. Overall, a great experience. Even when the kitchen was closed, they sorted us out with some pitta and hummus to keep our hunger at bay. A worthwhile visit.

Only had a coffee while waiting for our punt. Young men working there were super friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the punt ride. Thought it was going to be longer which would have been nice but would still recommend the experience.

They are really nice staff, I had the cloudy apple juice was really nice. They gave us 20% off for a small delay and I love it. The options are nice and I would really recommend it to people visiting they also do punning. The fish finger sandwich was delicious! I ate it so quickly because it was so nice

This place is well worth the visit. We had a few drinks in the bar whilst we waited for our punting tour. Sebastian was our tour guide, who was full of knowledge about the city and had some good banter to go with it. I would highly recommend the tour, location and the the service of this hidden gem. It's a great way to see Canterbury from the river.

Great night with friends in this very old building. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Really appreciated the offer of gluten free and dairy free dishes on offer and the flexibility in offering whatever we wanted. Great cocktails too! Would definitely go again. Worth a night out with friends, a few drinks, snacks and a great choice of games. Thank you!

Such a lovely atmosphere, super welcoming and kind. Lovely table with plenty of room for a big game and our drinks etc. We're a family of 4, with two 11 years olds, who also loved it. 4-7pm slot was perfect for us. Found an amazing vintage Pokémon game that we all enjoyed. Amazing game library. Great selection of teas. We're local and will definitely be going back!

Great new space for Canterbury with good food and a chill vibe. Once you get down into the basement there's a good amount of space and easy access to the bar. Good selection of games too so had a fun time trying something new with friends! Would definitely come back :)

Such a cosy atmosphere in a gorgeous historic building. Not only a great space to play boardgames but we've taken part in a couple of evening events of Blood on the Clocktower which is tons of fun and a good way to meet other gamers. Definitely will be back and recommend the Dungeons & Dragons themed speciality teas!

Just could not wait to savour their lovely food this this not so insta ready pics 🤣🤣🤣 We LOVE the food at This Ancient Boro and they never disappoint! So far our favourites are the salt & pepper squid, bavette steak in yummy sauce, garlic gambas, garlic mushrooms, pardon peppers, créma catalans, lemon tart, sticky toffee pudding & more. Sarah’s team is super nice with a special thank you to Freya & Rosie last Sunday. Oh, and they’re 100% dog friendly too 😊 Highly & wholeheartedly recommended!!!

This Ancient Boro The best roast and tapas we’ve had for YEARS!! We were lucky enough to be treated to a delicious Sunday lunch by Sarah, the owner of the pub, while we’re taking care of Raffles and Florence for her & Mark. OMG WHAT A TREAT!!! It was really like being in Spain ☀️ Our neighbours at the table next to us were laughing because we just couldn’t stop saying how good it all was 😅 As a bonus, the whole staff was brilliant: attentive, helpful, kind. HIGHLY recommended. If you’re local to Tenderden: book your table now! If you’re coming from further afield: it’s 100% worth the drive!

This is an excellent little pub. The beers are well kept with a good selection that changes regularly and can be sampled as a tray of thirds. The same for ciders although I haven't tried those yet. The staff are very welcoming. As for the tapas...wow! We're gradually working our way through the menu and have not been disappointed once. Excellent real ales and authentic tapas, what more could you want.

Wow! What a little ray of Spanish sunshine in the middle of Kent. The food and service is absolutely perfect, I highly recommend the Gambas pil pil. The biggest and juiciest prawns I’ve ever eaten. All that was missing was the Mediterranean Sea. Thank you Ancient Boro.

Travelling down from Oxfordshire for a family gathering so a curry was perfect. Fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We sat in the small bar area for over 2 hours before moving to out table (our choice) and had a great night. The food is very good, such an extensive menu it's hard to choose when you want to try everything. Will definitely come back.

Great food here. A Birthday celebration meal and yet again the good was excellent. All chefs specials are recommended. The staff are helpful and friendly and thr service was quick and efficient. Only dropping one star for the cost of the soft drinks 6 cokes came to over £31.00 which I thought was a little steep.

Very tasty meal. Would have liked more fresh herbs but perhaps chose the wrong dish. Reasonably priced. Not a great atmosphere but wasn’t going there for that and didn’t expect there to be so all good. Need better lighting!

Lovely food and quality entertainment. Only fly in the ointment was,I booked for 5, when one couldnt come, I was charged full price for their booking. It just makes it difficult, because even if you want to go with others, you will need to make sure they take responsibility for their own booking

Another FANTASTIC meal at Ozgur. The service was fantastic which started with a warm welcome and continued with a friendly and brilliant service all round and throughout. Food was out of this world. Cooked to perfection. We had the main meal for 2, served with different meats and rice. I don’t normally like lamb but the way they cook it is amazing, great portion sizes I was full up but couldn’t help but eat just that little bit more. I wish I could give more than 5 stars as this place really deserves it.

Stumbled across this place on a road trip. Maybe had been camping so long but this food was divine and what felt like very authentic Turkish cuisine! The service was top notch and had a sense of humour perfect for me and my friends. Sat outside with a lovely view of the high street. Tried the signature strawberry desert to finish our order of all starters and soup shared. Will definitely take a meander back here if ever in the area again.

Me and my friends stopped by this lovely restaurant for lunch and it was absolutely amazing. The guy who served was so polite and the environment was so friendly. Cute interior giving out retro vibes.The food was in hearty portions and the cappuccino was out of my expectation! The froth was perfect and airy with the chocolate powder dusted evenly on top. I highly recommend this place if you want something simple but delicious.

I was really impressed with cafe solo. We went there for breakfast and I really couldn't fault the food - I wanted a good fry up and that's exactly what I got. The milkshake here is also some of the best I've had around Canterbury, actually made using ice cream with a dollop of cream on top. The only reason I haven't put 5 stars for the food is because it didn't wow me like my other 5 star reviews, but it was still very decent. The staff were super friendly but gave us the space we wanted to eat together, the space was clean, and we were even surprised with complimentary Turkish delight. Overall, would recommend. They have a small carpark, but there are supermarkets nearby.

If Google could do more than 5 stars this place would get it. Upon arriving I got welcomed at the front door and seated. I think it’s a family run business because they take pride in everything they do. Food was wonderful Staff polite Cafe very clean There’s only two cafe’s I would take my wife too and this is one of them.

My family and I had a lovely breakfast in this cafe. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, special shout out to Megan 1.0 for looking after us so beautifully. I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo of my vegetarian breakfast (which was delicious). So I took this one off the outside seating area :)

That was surprising! We happened to come in relatively late on Sunday evening without a reservation and were greeted and served very friendly. Questions about the menu were patiently explained to us, so we were happy with our choice of dishes. Without exception, all the dishes we ordered were very tasty and tasted of different flavors. We have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times and loved it Today after a really hard day at work we really fancied a curry but were to tired to go out. I didn’t realise that they did delivery to our village which is a good 15 minutes drive from the restaurant. I booked it online paid cash on delivery and ordered all our favourites that we eat in the restaurant. It’s was so easy and in under an hour a cheerful lady delivered our curry as promised. It was just as nice as the food in the restaurant. I highly recommended this place the service either if you eat in or order a delivery is brilliant and the food is fantastic.

I had take away and so cant speak to the atmosphere but the food was terrific. The salmon and scallops were the ebst i have had.The garlic nan was superb and also I really enjoyed the duck. Can recommend.

Lovely visit, friendly staff. The food was beautiful my fresh, which a great deal mid week. We really enjoyed the atmosphere here whilst also enjoying a complimentary Baileys at the end of the meal. I will be visiting again sometime soon.

This is our favourite cafe! Amazing hot chocolate and food (especially the lemon feather cake and sourdough toasties). We always feel welcomed and enjoy our (very frequent) visits. Small but friendly cafe. Love it there!

This is by far my all time favorite coffee shop, there are a huge selection of choices that manage to cater for everyone and almost all the produce and products sold help support loads of local businesses! Nutmeg is a local haven, not many coffee shops give you the chance to drink coffee from beans roasted just a few miles away, not to mention that every coffee is also served with care and love from all the amazing staff

I’ve been going here for years. It’s the only place I go. It’s so much more than a place to have the best coffee in town, it’s also a community. They champion local produce, serve a small but high quality selection of sweet treats and savoury dishes, and always have a kind word and smile for each of their customers. By far the best coffee😋. Delicious toasties and cakes too. Great cheeses and other deli items. Such a friendly little place, I have been going in for years now and have formed many new friends in there initially just sharing tables. Highly recommend!
