Robina and John are the most wonderful neighbours to have over the road from Hive Stores. They both work very hard to bring a lot more joy and creativity to the neighbourhood and are always willing to help where they can.
The waiting room cafe has the best value full English around and the engine room is set to become a great creative hub. Whilst enjoying breakfast on our day off we conversed with familiar faces from the local neighbourhood who were enjoying crafts and socialising in a relaxed atmosphere.
Thank you Robina and John for always helping, making us laugh and generally being authentic people. You've created a great space!
Really great little place. Quirky with its own vibe. Huge menu and home cooked. I had pea and ham soup £6 which was delicious and filling.
T'was fantastic to find such a gem. As a travelling Scot, non-kilted, it was a revelation! From the moment I stepped into the cozy cafe, I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma of coffee and sizzling bacon filled the air, tantalisng my taste buds. The menu boasted a delightful array of options, for both meat and vegan lifestyles. I opted for the signature breakfast platter, and it did not disappoint. Each bite was a symphony of flavors - crispy bacon, creamy scrambled eggs, and perfectly toasted bread. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the impeccably brewed coffee to the presentation of the dishes. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall dining experience. Without a doubt, this breakfast spot sets the bar high for morning indulgence. A truly exceptional start to any day.
