Had roast beef today. Was excellent. All fresh veg etc. Cauliflower gratin was really nice .100% value for money. Would highly recommend it
Had lunch a couple of weeks ago , I had sausage and mash with onion gravy which was a nice standard pub meal , very generous portion. Unfortunately my husband wasn’t happy with his gammon egg and chips but this was a personal preference as the gammon is cooked with a heavy portion of cloves , which he doesn’t like the taste of so he could eat his , however , it was a lovey portion of fresh cooked ham , nice runny eggs and chips. The waitress took on his concern and was very nice .
Only comment is too much veggie options and not enough meat or fish .
Had the 8oz Smokedhouse Steak with fried eggs on a bed of posh Mac & Cheese with roasted cherry tomatoes-on-the-vine. It was delicious, the meat was very tender and cooked to medium to perfection. The Mac & Cheese and roasted tomatoes were very tasty. Overall a wonderfull meal.
This is one of our favourite local pubs to visit. It’s a lovely place, very friendly with great service and fantastic food. Martin, Matt and staff are brilliant.
Never had a bad meal, food is always quality and delicious, prices are more than reasonable and the portions are very generous.
It’s the cosiest place to be in the winter and the beer garden is exactly where you want to be in the summer. Quiz nights are great fun too!
Cannot recommend highly enough!
This pub is a friendly, welcoming place. With great food options and real ales.
