Nice pub, but they don’t have Guinness beer.
Cider pineapple recommended by the barman was great, thank you for recommendation.
Free parking but you have to register your number plate. Clean toilets
Overall was ok.
This is a cracking little pub. I made the trek down from SW17 to see what the fuss was about and very glad I did. Great selection of ales, staff friendly, really nice laid back ambience where everyone seems to know everyone. PLUS normal prices. If you are looking for a quiet pint(s) with friends or a bit of a beer connoisseur then it should be on your list. Certainly I will be coming down again and recommend others to do the same.
Deservedly popular with outstanding service. Easy location to get to. Docked a star because tries too hard to go down extra choice route. Better to stick to the knitting. More extreme beers more often than not just not as good.
Can’t believe I hadn’t reviewed the Hope. It’s a local institution and was my ‘local’ for several years. When in the area I still make an effort to go. Great range of beers, always something new, regularly have limited or rare releases. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.
Great pub. I always try to visit when I'm in the area.
