I visit regularly. It's a nice, cosy café with fantastic freshly made baguettes, sandwiches, paninis, and homemade cakes. They also serve fresh coffee, a small selection of wine, and bottled beers. The staff are friendly. When the sun's shining, there's a great secluded grassy area out front where you (and your dog!) can sit and enjoy your food and drink. It's a real oasis in this part of Sittingbourne. Enjoy!

Lovely place hidden away in a quiet corner. Great service, very clean, good value and nice portion sizes. It's unusual for a place to get a tick for all of these, but The Hub does. Can't wait for my next visit.

Very friendly spot for a snack before touring Canterbury. To this American tourist it felt very welcoming and part of a local neighborhood instead of a too-busy, in-and-out, grab-and-go place you might find in town. Besides, we discovered Mr. Blobby!

The Mooring Cafe & Bar

Water Ln, Canterbury CT1 2NQ, UK | Cafe
P: 01227 464797

Rating: 4.8 (129) Price Level:

Great little cafe and/or bar (your choice) right on the river. In summer, watch moorhens building their nests as you sip your flat white and eat your carrot and courgette cake (SO good!). In winter, cosy up with a plate of steaming crumpets and a coffee or, later, red wine and watch the punts still passing, everyone well wrapped up. What a find. Food is fabulous - totally delicious. Staff cool as cucumbers

Only had a coffee while waiting for our punt. Young men working there were super friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the punt ride. Thought it was going to be longer which would have been nice but would still recommend the experience.

Anonymous - 3 months ago

This place is well worth the visit. We had a few drinks in the bar whilst we waited for our punting tour. Sebastian was our tour guide, who was full of knowledge about the city and had some good banter to go with it. I would highly recommend the tour, location and the the service of this hidden gem. It's a great way to see Canterbury from the river.

They are really nice staff, I had the cloudy apple juice was really nice. They gave us 20% off for a small delay and I love it. The options are nice and I would really recommend it to people visiting they also do punning. The fish finger sandwich was delicious! I ate it so quickly because it was so nice

Never have I been accosted on the street before with such a positive outcome. Luke approached us in the street, but wasn't pushy, and asked if we wanted to try a river tour. We were interested and took him up on his offer and he gave us a voucher. We wandered down to the Mooring Cafe & Bar , got booked on and to our surprise had Luke as a tour guide. He was fantastic, knowledgeable and full of banter. He tried to engage with everyone on the boat, always making sure everyone enjoyed their experience. After the tour was done, we arrived back again at the Mooring bar to sample some of the delicious cocktails that were designed by Rosie (including the best cocktail I've ever had, The Hive mind). Verity served us and was fantastic, despite being new to the team. Overall, a great experience. Even when the kitchen was closed, they sorted us out with some pitta and hummus to keep our hunger at bay. A worthwhile visit.

I have been to Easter Bunny Arts and Craft today and my daughter had so much fun meeting and dancing with bunny. I am a regular client and I'm so happy that we have a place like Messy Pups in our town. Claire is a lovely person, welcoming new and regular clients all the time. Food is tasty and I like to have a cappuccino most of the time I'm in there. There is a selection of baby food and snacks for kids too. 😉 I appreciate your hard work and I will always support small businesses like yours.

We absolutely love Messy Pups play cafe. We travel 30+ minutes to visit because it's so worth it! A very friendly, immaculately clean play cafe with a nice selection of food and drinks, good prices and a lovely little play space for the little ones. Our 3 and 1 year old both equally get so much out of a visit. The sensory room is brilliant and the play area has a mixture of sensory play, crafty bits, role play and small world play plus a mini bouncy castle. We visited for a father's day special today and were really impressed with how much time and effort and little added extras Claire had put in, especially for the price. We had 2 hours of play, a bacon sandwich and hot chocolate, cupcakes to decorate, a fathers day card to write, a mask to decorate and a canvas to paint and take home! Thank you Claire for all your hard work and for thinking of all the little extras to make our time there with little people even more enjoyable. (The coffees great too!)

Anatolia Kitchen & Meze Bar

60 High St, Sittingbourne ME10 4PB, UK | Restaurant
P: 01795 474922

Rating: 4.8 (75) Price Level:

The overall experience was good, but there’s definitely room for improvement. It felt like the restaurant was short-staffed, which impacted service quality. Attention to detail could also be better. I wouldn’t recommend the steak - was inconsistent—one side was well done while the other was medium, which was disappointing, but the chicken shish was perfect—juicy, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. With a bit more focus, this place could be excellent.

What a treat this was! Incredible food & drinks selection and even though the particular treat I came for had sold out, the wonderful staff there put something special together for me which was so delicious! Also made my husband another drink on the house as he had mistakenly ordered the wrong thing…no fuss what so ever and even when he insisted on paying for it, they said not to which was so lovely. Really went above and beyond for us and I can not wait to return many more times in the future. For the glorious food and drink, for the stunning layout and display of the restaurant and for the beautiful people working there and making it so warm and welcoming! Thank you very much 😊

Brunch & Brew

52 High St, Tenterden TN30 6AU, UK | Cafe
P: 01580 761933

Rating: 4.8 (223) Price Level:

Brunch & Brew has been our favourite breakfast venue since we moved to Tenterden three years ago. Today, we had breakfast in the new venue on the High St and it's just as good as before. The food is as good as ever and the new premises have been done out really nicely. Service, as in the previous venue, is excellent. It's good reading on the menu that, as far as possible, the food is sourced from local providers. It was lovely seeing quite a few people in there early in the day and I hope that means the new location will be a success - it certainly deserves to be.

My mum has been to the Brunch & Brew many times before and always spoke very highly of both the food and service. Luckily for me we were passing by and mum said she would treat me to something to eat. What an absolute gem this place is, with it's superb menu and excellent service, all served up with a genuine smile. The breakfast that I chose was excellent, cooked to perfection and the presentation was immaculate, portion size was more than adequate. All in all I am highly impressed with the Brunch & Brew and look forward to visiting again. If you want great quality food and service it has it all, highly recommended. Visited again today and it is still excellent, this is now our go to place if we are looking for a breakfast, perfect every time. This probably the best place to eat in Tenterden in my honest opinion, great value for money. Brunch & Brew is also dog friendly, so it is an ideal place to eat should you have your furry friend with you.

We stumbled across this quaint cafe located off the main high street of tenterden. The inside is small and holds about 8 -10 tables but if the weather is good then there’s some outside space which looks out on the main high street. The cafe had a good varied selection of food and drinks. We opted for the all day breakfast along with chicken gyros and children meals. Price wise, you get a lot for your money. Staff were attentive and polite and food arrived in good time and hot. A very nice place to visit on a lunchtime stop off. A well earnt 5 stars! Definitely one to attend if your passing.
