Best place for breakfast, absolutely brilliant every time I visit. The coffee is the best I've tried in canterbury, not sure why it's so good but it is. I've been to most cafes in canterbury now and this is by far the best. The food is always hot and fresh, very little wait time, service is always spot on and one of the best places for prices. Seriously, try this place, at least for a fry-up if nothing else.

Good food and prices, conveniently located close to the city centre. I went to The Beano Cafe for a late morning breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, two slices of toast, a portion of chips and a can of fizzy pop. The cost was only £7.00. We booked a last minute table for a family birthday dinner for our son (who was turning 12), Shona accommodated us no problem! We’ve been wanting to try the Print House for a while and were not disappointed! The place itself is lovely with a really welcoming feel and wonderful ambience (even on a Monday night when most places are pretty dull), the staff were friendly and attentive and they made us feel special and really made the occasion, especially for the kids, despite it being quite a ‘grown up’ place. The food was excellent, with a good selection of wines a menu created from great quality locally sourced produce. Overall, an excellent experience, we’re just sorry we hadn’t been sooner, but will be returning again very soon for sure! Thank you for a great evening.

Today they had a temp chef in (normal chef was on holiday), which meant service times were slow. However, the team did an absolutely incredible job at handling this, with constant communication and the food was still fab (despite a slow service!) on top of this, due to the wait our meal was comped, which was above and beyond what we would have expected and shows how much this place cares about reputation and customer happiness. Overall yes, temp kitchen staff meant slower wait times, but having been before this is notably just a tough day, but the experience was still great and hats off to the FOH team for excellently handling this.

Booked for dinner and it was excellent including great vegetarian items. Good food, well presented, unusual elements to the dishes. Good value and efficient personable service from the team led by a charming wife and husband duo who know what they are doing.

Friends had told us that they had a great breakfast at Silcocks Farm Shop and suggested we should pop in and give it a try. Firstly it is a beautiful place with plenty of character and is very nicely presented and maintained with a lovely atmosphere. The shop has plenty of great farm produce for sale at very reasonable prices, we only had a quick look around but what we did see was all high quality, maybe when we have more time we will pop in again and have a proper look. The breakfast was delicious and service was exceptional and the price was very reasonable. I can definitely recommend the full English breakfast! Overall 10 out of 10 and look forward to visiting again.

Stopped for coffee and cake mid bike ride. Lovely chocolate brownie and coffee. Plenty of places to put bike and didn't need to worry about locking it up as everyone really friendly and other cyclists around.

Met some friends for coffee and had lovely time in friendly atmosphere. The scone was very good and the shop was interesting with fresh produce. There is a car park so easy to park and a ramp up to shop so easy access for anyone disabled. They sell a good range of plants.

Stayed here as part of a wedding party. For the wedding the ceremony, the dinner and disco took place in the same room with staff changing everything to make it appropriate for the next leg of the service. Staff were very accommodating and friendly going above and beyond to help out. Rooms were nice and clean, bathroom had a shower only but water was nice and hot. As the building is old some of the floorboards are a bit creaky and you might hear next door from time to time. This is not often or loud enough to be a problem.

We purchased a Virgin experience voucher for a weekend hen do with Chapel Down Winery and a one night stay at Little Silver hotel included. Trying to navigate a hen do of 17 people was quite the challenge, but Little Silver went above and beyond to assist us. Numerous emails back and forth, arrangement of transportation, several dietary requirements and numerous requests, Little Silver did not disappoint. The hotel was clean, spacious and eccentric. Diane went above and beyond to make sure everything was organised and our dinner and breakfast was a success. Thank you to the Little Silver staff for a great stay albeit short!

Stayed here as part of a Virgin wine experience tour and the staff made us feel very welcome. The service when we had dinner and breakfast was very good and the food was very nice and great value. My only criticism would be that the beds are too soft, but that is just personal preference. I highly recommend a stay here.

This is by far my all time favorite coffee shop, there are a huge selection of choices that manage to cater for everyone and almost all the produce and products sold help support loads of local businesses! Nutmeg is a local haven, not many coffee shops give you the chance to drink coffee from beans roasted just a few miles away, not to mention that every coffee is also served with care and love from all the amazing staff

This is our favourite cafe! Amazing hot chocolate and food (especially the lemon feather cake and sourdough toasties). We always feel welcomed and enjoy our (very frequent) visits. Small but friendly cafe. Love it there!

The Hoof & Hook is Situated in the heart of the historic town of Tenterden in the middle of the High Street in the building that was formerly Café Rouge. It has had a complete makeover, not just in its appearance but also the menu. The food is absolutely excellent, very high quality and beautifully presented. I had a "Hoof Classic" burger with fries and it was was delicious, cooked to perfection and the portion size was spot on. Probably one of the best burgers I have had in years, it consisted of two beef patties, cheese, lettuce, pickles, cheese and bacon all served in a really nice bun (sorry I missed the photo). My mother had the King Prawns (pictures attached), she said that they were probably the best King Prawns she had ever had. The service was outstanding and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the Hoof & Hook. 10 out of 10 guys and keep up the excellent work, looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

This is an update: The meal we just had was beautiful, Staff polite courteous and informed . A real pleasure to eat here! Be prepared for large portions , I didn't. The nacho starter was as good as a main meal and really tasty. I had the bourbon ribs and couldn't even start the second one. Staff were quick, pleasant and attentive . The place was really busy and had a quick turnaround of tables. We weren't rushed in any way but do recommend booking especially at weekends. RECOMMEND.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hoof and Hook in Tenterden, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. We started with the Kentish Mini Tacos, and they were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and a perfect start to the meal. The blend of local ingredients really shone through in every bite. For the main, I ordered the Hoof Burger with fries, and it was perfection on a plate. The burger was juicy, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection, while the fries were crispy and golden, just the way I like them. We also had the Asian Ribs , which were a delightful surprise—tender, packed with a rich, savoury glaze, and bursting with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavours. The combination of incredible food and warm, attentive service made our visit unforgettable. Hoof and Hook is definitely a must-visit if you’re in Tenterden! Lovely place to stay, rooms are spacious and had a very large, comfortable bed. Lots of authentic charm about the building. Our room could have done with a slight update in some places and the crunching toilet can be disruptive, if you're not used to one but overall very nice room Staff were lovely and very helpful, took the time to make sure we were happy. The pub itself is excellent and again, seems to feel like your back in olden times. Fully recommend.

We stayed at The Woolpack for one night - yesterday (Wednesday 13 November). Despite the building work next door (nothing to do with The Woolpack) we found the pub/hotel wonderful. A beautiful historical building with excellent staff. (The pumbing was interesting - it added charm). The room was lovely and the staff superb. The food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. A special mention for the Manager, Garry (we belive that's the correct spelling) who was a master of all trades and an excellent host. We have reason to visit the area again and will do our best to book The Woolpack again. Thank you the Woolpack.

We had the best Sunday lunch we’ve ever had at the Woolpack . The pub is gorgeous, staff are lovely - funny and professional - my partner had the roast beef and I didn’t get a word out of him for the whole meal as he was enjoying it so much. I don’t eat meat and have suffered at the hands of dubious nut roasts across the entire county of Kent, but not at the Woolpack! Amazing nut roast - crispy and delicious. The vegetables were also stars in their own right - nothing heated up in a microwave etc. . . And the Yorkshire pudding was superb . . Love Love Love this Sunday roast, and would literally crawl on hands and knees from North Kent to go again . . ❤️

The food here is absolutely superb! I could not fault one thing on my plate. What could have been an average chicken was elevated above expectations. My husbands lamb was another level of excellence and the chocolate desert took us to heaven. Sat in a for a late lunch, ordered a gluten free pesto chicken sandwich and an iced oat chai latte. My friend got the grilled cheese with a flat white. Felt as though 15 quid was a bit expensive for my order - until the food was served! The sandwiches are massive and both my friend and I kept half for dinner. We both really enjoyed our meals! The staff were warm and welcoming, the cafe was relatively quiet for a Saturday at 12:45pm. There were a variety of cakes available as well, with a fair amount of gluten free and vegan options available. Staff clarified whether my gluten free sandwich order was due to an allergy or a preference. Overall, would recommend, especially for those with a gluten intolerance!

We were desperate for a good coffee and a local suggested this place. Located near the entrance to the cathedral (which was packed with students of all ages on excursions), we nestled into a table and ordered our long awaited our coffee. Looking at the soup a fellow diner was having I was somewhat jealous. Next time! Loved the quirkiness of this place with fun and interesting signage, cute decor and funky ambience. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good location. Lovely staff. We will return.

Not really a dine-in kind of venue even though there are 2 tables and chairs provided. The pizzas, and it seems everything else, is made fresh while you wait. Or you can phone in your order for collection. Our pizza's were out of this world! The base was cooked crisp but not burnt. The cheese melted perfectly and the toppings very generous. Both were served with a relevant sauce on the side which added to the great experience. We will DEFINATELY return to try other menu items.
