A lovely afternoon treat with my husband and mother-in-law. My husband had fish and chips, while me and my mother-in-law opted for the roast pork cob and a side of chips. Substantial meals, the side of chunky chips is very generous. Everything piping hot. If I could add something to the cob it would be more stuffing and a gravy. The pork was tasty but I did find it a little dry with just the cob alone. Otherwise a lovely treat on a cold winters day.

We booked a table for 9 people friends birthday..we had a lovely night..meals were nice. Staff very friendly. Lovely old pub good atmosphere. Definitely recommend it will definitely be going again.

This pub has always been really good for food. We hadn't been for quite a while, however the 2 young serving staff on a Friday afternoon at 4.00 PM really deserve some recognition. I've had worse service at venues costing 3 times as much. Polite, attentive, helpful yet still able to have a laugh with the locals and manage a bar and restaurant very effectively. I hope management recognize their abilities in their role.

Always on the look out for somewhere decent to go and what a find! Service was good, place was cozy everyone in there seemed relaxed which is a massive positive.
Everything I asked did not seem a bother to them.
Meals were a good size and quality was very good.
Myself I'm not too keen on massive onion rings just don't think they taste as good as the smaller ones but they were the best large onion rings I have tried will give them that!
Beans instead of peas on the mixed grill was a nice touch and again very tasty (wonder if you could swap to peas if requested for next time🤔)
The cheesecake although salted caramel is also not my favorite prefer lemon or Oreo, it was still to die for really shocked me!
I can find no real reason why I would not return or why I would not recommend to others.
They do so many things right!
Need to pop back when not driving to sample there beers didn't really see what ales they have on offer so can not comment but if as good as there food should be no issues at all.
Bell & bear inn have already raised the bar very high for 2024, well done to all who work there.

Lovely pub, serving good classic pub food. Reasonably priced, staff were very pleasant. Has extensive outdoor seating and nice views.
