My husband and I had a superb lunch in the upstairs restaurant on Tuesday lunchtime, with lovely views over the harbour. Nina was our waitress and was excellent at making us feel relaxed and welcome. She was very effecient with our order, very attentive to my nut allergy needs and very thorough in checking for me. My food was brought out first with assurances it had been prepared in a separate area to lessen any chances of cross contaminants.
We both had the venison bourguignon, which was
delicious. My husband had the sticky toffee mini pudding and coffee, which was very tasty and good value. All in all a thougroughly enjoyable experience. Many thanks Linda & Stephen
Excellent Sunday lunch. Nice atmosphere and great views over the harbour from our table. Only slight inconvenience was that they had run out of the pie of the day by 1pm when we arrived.
Great views but if you want an Aperol spritz it's £2 cheaper next door at the royal oak.
Had a wonderful Sunday roast with great service. It was one of the best roast dinners we have eaten out. Katie took time to put my mind at ease when picking my meal as I have a dairy allergy and even double checked with the kitchen after going through the list. Replaced the Yorkshire with extra roasties, overall fantastic service and understanding with eating out with an allergy!
