Wonderful place to have breakfast. Very friendly service and they made us feel welcome as soon as we entered the door. Food was really tasty and very good value. We recommend this place to everyone.
Amazing food! I had the mac n cheese chips and salad, which was so good! My mum had small fry up which she really enjoyed especially finding a nice cafe that does tinned tomatoes and oatcakes is a plus.

What a lovely cafe and lovely owners. The atmosphere here is great. The food is homemade and really good comfort food. The cottage pie and burgers were great! Exceeded our expectations of a quick lunch. We were looking for a small business rather than a chain and we are so happy we chose this place. The owners here are so kind and that made it all the better. Stop off here and eat some great homemade food!
Great little cafe with friendly service. An excellent breakfast and great value for money
The Gentleman serving us this morning (the owner?) surely wrote the guidebook on customer service. From the moment we stepped through the door, polite, attentive, friendly, well presented, and came across as truly genuine. This was only matched by the beaut that was the English breakfast we ate.
We opted for "Breakfast 1" on the me. This was more than adequate for our breakfast needs. And reasonably priced as well.
The cafe was clean and kept clean during customers coming and going, even the toilet was spotless.
This small cafe can be easily missed given its location just starting tocleave the town centre. But don't miss it, even if you only pop in for a coffee, it is well worth the stop. I will definitely come back here on another visit next time I'm in Matlock.
