Have visited The Lion a number of times for both food and casual drinks and had a great experience every time.
The food is all freshly cooked, generous portions and very tasty! I often struggle to get through 3 courses but very worth it!
Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Lovely meal, apart from running out of Yorkshires, missing veg and an error on the desert menu, the roast beef was delicious. Will definitely be returning.

A Huge Thank You for Saving Our Night!

We had planned a surprise 60th birthday celebration and, upon arrival, discovered that the restaurant we had originally booked was unexpectedly closed! In a panic, we called around to find a place that could accommodate 15 people last minute, and we were incredibly fortunate to find this restaurant.

The lady on the phone was so accommodating and assured me they could fit us in. I can’t express how grateful we were! From start to finish, the service was exceptional, the food was absolutely delicious, and they truly saved the night for us.

Thank you so much for turning what could have been a disaster into a fantastic evening. We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and service!

Great pub and restaurant run by local people. Lovely setting on the edge of the village with plenty of parking and courtyard and garden eating spaces for when the sun comes out. Lovely bar area with an open fire. Great food and choices on the menu for adults and 'cubs'. We loved the fish and chip lunch at 2 for £20 on Friday which comes with mushy or garden peas. Dog friendly. We also had a large family Christmas Sunday lunch there in the restaurant and the food and service was excellent. Would recommend to everyone looking for a village pub with good food and service at decent prices.

A great atmosphere for lunch with choices to sit outside or in (several rooms to choose from). Good selection of dishes. The steak in my baguette was a wonderful rare just as I had requested. Others with me also complimentary on the food they ordered. For a large party we were served remarkably quickly, too. Fair prices for the quality, too. Great service topped it off. Recommended.
