Weāre local to Weymouth and heard about the Santa experience. It did not disappoint! It was our 2 year olds first Santa experience and it was magical. The team meet and greet were amazing. Carys was great with our little boy John. Her customer service skills were amazing and she was fantastic with the children. The setup walking through to meet Santa was amazing, it really felt magical and was an experience weāll certainly remember forever. The play area afterwards is amazing and the facilities are second to none. Thank you to the Moon fleet team and special shout to Carys for giving a little boy a truly wonderful start to Christmas.

This place is the most incredible hotel for parents with young children. We have a toddler and have found other breaks tend to feel like just āparenting in another locationā. But Moonfleet Manor is different. They have thought of *everything* to keep kids, and their parents, happy. Including the HUGE playroom that our daughter loved. We went the first week of October half term and it was fully booked but never felt crazy busy. The restaurant is also brilliant - we loved the breakfast and the food at dinner was delicious. Staff are lovely. We had to unexpectedly leave a day early and the lady on reception was incredibly kind to me - I wish I had taken her name. Thank you to all at Moonfleet for a lovely break - weāll be back.

Just returned from a two night stay at Moonfleet Manor with my partner and 17 month old. We had a great time and the hotel is absolutely perfect for toddlers. So many activities including swimming, play area both indoor and outdoor, games etc and so many that we didnāt have chance to try everything. You can ask for warm milk at any time and they even have milk and cookies with a story film in the evening. We got an upgrade from a cosy room to a two bedroom room which made the weekend even more special. Staff were all great, particularly Karen at breakfast and Ella who gave me my massage! Only negative was the food which wasnāt great considering the price however this could have been because it was very quiet. Breakfast was fine but Sunday lunch and dinner not great. However, it was still a wonderful weekend and we would definitely return.

Stopped when leaving Haven to go Devon. Was so glad there was a space for the motor home thatās 7.5m long (only room for one, in case you are travelling with one). Was the best breakfast Iāve had! So nice, shop was lovely to wonder around whilst breakfast was cooking. The staff were friendly and so accommodating. Food was so nice and deli items so enticing we couldnāt leave without taking another few bits with us for our trip. The quiche was absolutely delicious. Thank you! I would recommend a stop here to anyone for eating š

Hatch on the Harbour
The Old Fish Market, 1 Custom House Quay, Weymouth DT4 8BE, UK | Restaurant P: Not available
Rating: 4.3 (128) Price Level:
The restaurant is good, foods are nice, oyster is fresh. But price a bit high and space is small, only 6-7 tables available.
Rating: 5 / 5
We had a delicous time at The Hatch today, stopping for lunch on our way about town. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our crab, lobster, scallops, and padron peppers! The view across the harbour from our table was idyllic, and we received a warm welcome and friendly, attentive service from Anna. We'll be back for sure!

Perfect seafood in a street food style. Table for two outside. Great menu balancing choice and simplicity. We had Scallops, half lobster, green beans and chips. Food quality was amazing. Atmosphere lovely by the harbour side on a busy sunny Sunday afternoon. We didnāt book so were lucky to catch a seat when we did. Service matched the street food vibe - pretty straightforward no airs and graces. Thereās no loos here but thatās no problem, thereās public toilets just round the corner. Place is attached to a fishmonger which is brilliantly stocked - we bought some great looking mackerel to take home and enjoy.
Rating: 5 / 5
A spontaneous and delicious supper on the harbour at Hatch. Whole lobster, barbecued to perfection and served with a generous bowl of fresh and homemade chips, and a lovely leaf, mango and pomegranate salad, washed down with a beer and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Reasonably priced (Ā£30 for the lobster+chips+salad) and served with love and enthusiasm.
Rating: 4 / 5
Situated just by Weymouth Harbour, the small, cozy gazebo/terrace provided a delightful dining experience. The seafood was notably fresh, and the oysters, which stood out as the highlight of the meal, were exceptional. The fish and chips were well-prepared, boasting a perfectly crunchy exterior and tender interior. However, the lobster, although flavorful, was slightly overcooked. The scallops, unfortunately, were disappointingly tiny and lacked depth of flavor. Although these minor shortcomings, the overall meal was enjoyable, enhanced by the picturesque view and welcoming atmosphere.

The Lugger Inn
30-34 West St, Chickerell, Weymouth DT3 4DY, UK | Pub P: 01305 766611
Rating: 4.4 (729) Price Level:
Went in for an early supper. Very accommodating, lovely staff. Staff were happy to swap items on the menu. My son had the beef burger and enjoyed it. I had the buttermilk chicken burger - took a star off as it wasn't great, dry, thick, hard, inedible coating. I took it off and ate the chicken. Bit disappointing. But overall it's a nice place.

We visited the Luggers Inn for a fabulous, tasty, delicious & hearty Sunday lunch which ticked all the boxes plus many others. Ding dong absolutely gorgeous food great service with James and the the rest of the team who made our visit exceptional such a wonderful hidden gem which provides fantastic food, great menu choices with something for everyone. The venue is very atmospheric with a great character plus some history in the building & great team of staff doing awesome things for their community along with surrounding areas. Many thanks see you again soon, keep doing the magic ššš

We came in for dinner as we were staying locally. The pub is a tradional pub and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and homemade. As a family of 4 we all had different meals and all enjoyed our food. Big portions and lots of flavour. We really enjoyed our time here.
Rating: 5 / 5
We booked two rooms for a trip with three teenage kids. The beds are very comfortable. Rooms clean and plenty of parking. The pub food was lovely. Pub classics as well as a selection of other stuff. We only had one meal there, wish we had more. Our bedroom only had a bath which was OK for us but could be annoying if you wanted a quick shower. No breakfast available but we were on holiday so went to the lobster pot at portland bill which has amazing views. Very good value as well.

Massive clean fresh room with nice shaped bath with shower.. I'll put a small video up of my room in a moment. It's easier! Parking to the rear. Had a goodnights sleep. Yesterday, I had a really nice pizza cooked in a stone oven Not sure what beer i was drinking. . Recommend stay. It's more expensive than premier inn and travel lodge, but it's worth the difference.

Had a light bite and drinks. Very nice. My 5 star review is really for Liz. She was extremely busy, single handedly running the bar, taking food orders, serving orders, clearing tables and taking payment. All this on her own, very unfair. But done with a lovely smile and friendly nature. Treat this woman well, she is worth her weight in gold.

Went for Sunday lunch, very nice and friendly. Nothing on the menu my son liked but the kitchen obliged by doing him burger and chips. Definitely worth the visit. š š

We loved the Kings Arms. Sitting in the afternoon sunshine in the large garden or on their decking is very relaxing. It is dog friendly and our black Labrador loved it too. It looks as if it will be very cosy on a cold winters day when the log fire is roaring. The staff were great and friendly. In fact the entire village of Portesham was so friendly we felt really welcome even though we were there for just a few days.

Lovely pub and location. I was on the way back to London and needed a pit stop. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a big smile and taken to a table. I didn't have to wait too long as the only waitress working was just like wonder woman. I run a restaurant in London and would give her a job anytime.

Absolutely stunning service! Staff so friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious! I had the Mac & Cheese for a starter (listed as a side), then the Squash ravioli for main. My partner had the vegan bean burger. Wait staff were so attentive and friendly, and the food was exactly how we wanted it - even better! Sat by the window on a stormy day; fantastic views and smashing atmosphere. Would recommend any day of the week! Thank you, The George!

Booked Bacaro for a private party in September 2024. Everything was excellent, from the location to the food, drinks, and the atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. A truly great place. Chloe the manager was awesome, and her and her staff made the whole event really special. Go to Bacaro, you won't be disappointed!

Over New Year we visited here on 3 occasions. Twice for drinks and a third to eat. The staff were excellent, so friendly and welcoming. I am a coeliac and theydealt with my needs well. We were a party of between 5 and 7 aged 52 to 80. Thank you very much for looking after us so well!

We have been into this place a few times while on holiday, and every time the food is spot on. You order at the bar, to one of the friendly staff. Food took around 15-20 minutes to come out, and it was very hot. I had the double cheese burger, which had a hint of spice in, and was amazing. We also had the chicken wings, Ham, egg and chips, a fish finger sandwich. It's not the cheapest of places, nor is it the most expensive. Would I go there again 100% would I recommend 100%.

1st time visiting in a number of years, as I was inn the area and had arranged to meet friends. Quick and efficient booking system, meant I had a table reserved. It was a Friday night, so relatively busy but still managed to get served our drinks quickly and they continued to flow regularly. Ordered food, which was delivered to our table after no more than a 30 minute wait. A very good sized, juicy & tasty burger was devoured fairly quickly! Overall was a good as I remembered from my very first visit...

Thanks to Owen for making our bottomless brunch such a fun experience! We had a birthday brunch planned at Slug & Lettuce who unfortunately had to cancel on the morning due to a gas leak. We were really appreciative of Rendezvous being able to get us a booking last minute. Owen was especially helpful as we had some issues with the billing at the end but he was able to sort it out for us. We had a great time and they were even able to offer gluten free options. We would definitely come back for a bottomless brunch again. Thanks Owen!

Some nice vegan options. The mushroom tacos and cauliflower wings were the best (both very tasty and filling). Tuesday's they have a cheap wings deal so you can get quite a lot. It was very quite on a Tuesday night, so no issues getting a table or being served.

We visited in a quiet Monday afternoon for a soft drink. Staff pleasent and efficient. Plenty of seating inside and out with views over harbour. Saw others ordering food which looked good. We had large lemonade and blackcurrant drinks for only Ā£2 each. Looks like it's a popular night spot. Toilets up loads of stairs and small with broken locks no good if you have mobility issues.
