What a superb little pub. We stopped over whilst on a New Years country drive, and we all agreed we would make a point of driving back to this particular pub. Service was on point, food delicious and atmosphere gave the country cozy vibe we were after. They are dog friendly and made a plan for us even though they appeared fully booked when we came in. We can highly recommend the beef stroganoff, eggs and gammon and the salmon dishes. Dessert was generous, with a wonderful apple crumbles and sticky toffee had at table.

I went to The Bluebell for my auntie's birthday celebrations in mid November. Before we arrived, I read their menu and decided I would have the chicken after changing my mind from choosing roast beef. Overall, I was happy with my dish; the potatoes I have to say were interesting, I don't think I've tasted a potato like that before (a good and bad thing).

The service was absolutely wonderful and they wrote 'Happy Birthday' on my aunt's plate when dessert arrived; I couldn't have been more satisfied by their service!

Fantastic hidden gem just up the road from Alice Holt. Found it on a bike ride a couple of months ago and vowed to check out the garden when the weather improved. Food fantastic and well priced, nice selection of local Alton ales and standard lagers. Great beer garden, dog friendly and great staff.

Lovely meal with the family. We booked the rear family room and so were able to be as noisy as we liked! Great service, great choice of food. Car parking was an issue, but we managed to find a bit of free road to abandon the car.
