Love this place. The perfect quintessential English pub with great food, wine and ambience. Warm and friendly waiting staff in white shirts, traditionally laid tables and a great menu with references back to the 70s - prawn cocktails, wellingtons, liver and bacon. The food was brilliant.

First visit to meet a friend. Very busy as it was December but a welcoming fire was almost the first thing we saw.
There was an a la carte or a festive menu to choose from. The soup of the day and fishcakes were lovely and service was great. It will be our new favourite place to meet

Lovely 17 century pub.
Food was delicious, I had the vegetable pie. Friendly staff. I recommened doing the nice talk before your meal, and remember to bring wellies! It took us just over an hour.
