First time visiting The Wheatsheaf - Just had a Sunday roast which did not disappoint! Everything came out piping hot and fresh. Good selection of veg - brocolli, carrots, parsnips, red cabbage, massive Yorkshire puddings. We had the cauliflower cheese on the side which was lovely, would definitely recommend. The roast beef was so tender and full of flavour, great portion sizes that none of us could finish. The pub itself is cosy and inviting, especially with their Christmas decorations up. The staff there were so friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for you - absolutely going back soon.
Booked for lunch x 4… warm, pleasant surrounds, good proper pub ambience, attentive staff and home cooked food… with very ample servings. What more can you ask for? Much enjoyed my lamb chops followed by apple pie and custard. Pie of the day was excellent. Recommended 👍
Friendly staff and lovely food. Had a roast and it was perfect, could hardly finish it and the pricing was great. Would recommend to anyone local looking for a nice meal with the family.
My partner and I had a lovely visit to the Wheatsheaf and cannot recommend it enough.
Due to the time we went, we only wanted a light snack and so had the Camembert sharing platter and it was delicious!
Staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming - a truly lovely pub.
Excellent value. Very friendly staff. We had a different Sunday roast each which were extremely well cooked and generous in size.
