Really lovely and relaxing stay.
Very attentive staff, perfect location for hiking and lots of restaurants/ pubs near by. The room was very good value for money and like the touches of the radio playing when you came in, the Dyson hairdryer and a scenic breakfast. Will definitely stay again.

This is a real gem of a hotel. We have just returned from a three night stay with our elderly spaniel and cannot fault the hotel in terms of service, location, room, or suitability for dogs. Initially, we were not due to have dinner on all three nights, but given the delicious fare and great service from the team (special mentions for the delightful Sergio and Veronica - thank you both), we ended up eating in the restaurant every evening. Indeed, it is the service that probably sets this hotel apart from its competitors, and the wonderful attention and care given to all visiting dogs. Thank you for a great stay and see you soon.

Hotel is facing the forest perfect location. Room spacious and very clean with lovely touches for guests. Food excellent. Most of all the excellent staff team I encountered during my stay. They are all a real credit to the hotel especially the lady who got my breakfast as I had my dog with me amazing. She was also the lady who made my booking and was fantastic. All the bar staff working on NYE thank you all you’ve made a difference to my stay !

We stayed for two nights over new year and can honestly say that I have never stayed at such a friendly hotel. The staff are simply superb and can't do enough. It is so nice to be surrounded by people who genuinely seem to enjoy their work. The rooms are large and very comfortable, the only reason for dropping a star on rooms was that the shower was very basic but there was a big bath which was nice. Location is excellent, walking distance to the village and can walk straight out over the heath towards Oberwater and Rhinefield. Ponies are strolling along the road outside the hotel.

We had dinner both nights and the food was very good.

Being December, we didn't use the garden but it is south facing and we will be going back in the summer to have a G&T on the numerous garden tables and chairs.

Excellent hotel. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Room was large but very well heated. Great value for money, especially as a free room upgrade was included. Breakfast was brilliant. Plenty of variety, with both continental and full English available. Quality items for breakfast.
