Had a really great family meal last Sunday . The staff was excellent , couldn’t do enough for us . The food was wonderful we all had something different & it all came together and pipeing hot . Can’t wait to come again , recommend to everyone .

A very enjoyable afternoon. The food was amazing , hot and tasty . The service was just right, not rushed and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly....nothing at all was too much trouble. A great atmosphere and reasonably priced too. Will definitely be making another visit soon.

Pub is in a really scenic area and decided to pop in on a whim.

Lovely outdoor area, good parking availability.

At first look at menu, was a bit dismayed that there was no vegan options for me, but a lovely waitress went and asked the chef, and he went out of his way to make something Vegan, and it was DELICIOUS.
Aubergine done two ways, baked and fried, with the most delicious tomato sauce.
Absolutely fantastic. 11/10.

My Mum had the bacon and liver and said it was "Divine".

The manager came over to check on us, and we mentioned that the Vegan meal could do with something like chips, next thing a basket of chips were brought, just so nice of them.

Just highly recommend this pub, amazing food, outstanding staff.

Will be back again!

A fab steak, better than the one I had recently at a big steak chain.

The fish and chips were also excellent.

Only downside was some of the beer lines needed changing but that was rectified.

Booked to meet family for a pre Christmas meal and we looked around the area prior to booking and came based on reviews.

Amazing old school pub favourites on the menu along side more modern styles. Food was absolutely beautiful, the Lamb Henry was perfect! And the homemade gravy was clearly not packet mix rubbish, it was superb. Steak pie and chips was great as well, absolutely full of meat, and the chips were huge chunky chips. Great value compared to where we live (Cheshire) and surroundings were lovely.
The only niggle is the slightly slow service to keep up with drinks as the pub was pretty quiet at the time. But the staff were all lovely and helpful so all was good.

Keep up the good work in the kitchen but maybe keep an eye on customers tables a bit more considering how many staff were available. We will certainly return to try more of the menu!!
