I’ve been to Wakey Wakey a few times over the last three years whilst my sister has been studying in London.
It’s an easygoing cafe with a chilled atmosphere and great food. The last time I went there, I ordered their American breakfast and a matcha latte whilst my sister had the berry pancakes. They have an extensive menu with lots of different breakfast and lunch options. Every time I have eaten here I’ve enjoyed my meal and the food quality ingredients they use.
We were both very satisfied with our meals and enjoyed them. The staff are friendly and kind.
Not sure if I’ll be down this area of London anytime soon but I will miss coming here with my sister
Nice café in the heart of New Cross. Plenty of breakfast options and very tasty Veggie breakfast!
I felt that the prices were a bit too high for the venue and table service would have been welcome.
The fried small pastries on the entrance counter tasted a bit off - perhaps the frying oil needs to be changed 🤔
No frills café offering good food and great customer service.
The café itself is not “fancy” but it’s still very comfortable and clean.
I had the scrambled eggs on toast and a chai latte - both were delicious and really enjoyable.
Service was relatively quick, and all the staff we encountered were very friendly.
I will definitely be back to try some more of their dishes soon.
I visited Wakey Wakey cafe in New Cross and was very impressed with the quality of food and the overall ambiance. It is a welcoming and vibrant cafe with a young and trendy client base (Goldsmiths university over the road). I loved the American Breakfast- it made a nice change from traditional English Breakfast. I enjoyed this with a herbal black tea which was lovely. 5* experience ⭐️
