Only just off the beaten track; a real hidden gem! First but definitely not our last visit - generous, hot, and very tasty food. Sunday roast today; pie next time. Great staff, friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

Had the pleasure of sampling the Game Tasting menu last night. Every dish was a delight with locally sourced produce, lovely service and ambiance. Highly recommend! I forgot to photograph the terrine starter and remembered to photograph the wild duck pie before I ate too much of it!

Really nice food (chips are lovely) staff are nice and welcoming and the wood burning fire was a welcome site. The pub is dog friendly and if you're lucky you'll meet Brian the black lab 🐾
The food and drinks are reasonably priced and cooked fresh.
If I was to offer any advice to the owners, adopt an online booking process as the only one I could find said the pub was closed everyday so wouldn't allow bookings. We had to call but couldn't get through on the first few tries although you did call back 👍🏻
We would visit again if we were in the area so definitely recommended. Thanks again.

Just had lunch there today. The 2 course for £15. Some very good choices. Service was polite and friendly. Had the soup followed by the ham, egg and chips. Very tasty. Portions were just right for lunch. Larger portions are available. Can recommend this pub.

Wow, what an absolute hidden gem of a place. Only found this by looking on Google Maps for somewhere different.....

Just had the most amazing 3 course meal with perfectly cooked fresh food, superb pigeon and creamy mushrooms on sourdough to start along with a lovely 10oz Steak with a portion of their home made black pudding and a lovely steak and ale pie, I meant to ask if they sell that BP to take away as was superb. All complimented with lovely desserts in a really nice atmosphere with plenty of space around the tables, all freshly decorated. Really friendly staff too. Definitely one to return to.
